    Lord, Prepare me...

Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary
are the words that I sing, but I don't desire
I want to be more than a mere sanctuary
    Daddy, make me an arsenal
make me a store house for weapons
that will bring the kingdom of darkness to its knees
Pure and Holy, Tried and True
    Is what I long for
to stand before you blameless and bloody
to have made a impact on the world around me
those going "Green" want to lessen their carbon footprint
I want to go "Red" making the greatest difference
devastating the world with Your Word so that lives are lengthen
not because of the end of global warming, but because of their eternal gain
we can recycle but Your children need to reconcile
Daddy, help me to seek Your perfect peace to shower your everlasting Love
    beyond my circle
With thanksgiving, I'll be a living Sanctuary
Daddy, a sanctuary, a vessel, a weapon of Mass Destruction
I desire it all, in order that those who seek fulfillment may live
not for my own gain, or my own recognition, but simply to return to a
portion of what you have given me
    Lord For YOU
    I ask that You
    MOLD me,
    MAKE me,
    BUILD me,
    BREAK me,
    USE me,
    SEND me
Lord, Prepare me to be a Sanctuary/Pure and Holy, Tried and True/With thanksgiving, I'll be a living Sanctuary/Lord, For You!

Daddy, I surrender all that I am and all that I'm not. You know me from the inside out, before the world began you knew me. I put aside my calendar, I put aside my agenda, I answer the call. Send, me I'll go.

    The choice is yours...

    Prov. 1: 25-29

25 Because you disdained all my counsel,
And would have none of my rebuke,
           26 I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your terror comes,
27 When your terror comes like a storm,
And your destruction comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.
           28 “ Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
           29 Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the LORD,

These verses give a great display of the habit of many Christians. That all too often wait until trouble comes before we begin seeking out God. But, despite the grace we receive we must still deal with the consequences of our actions. These verses should remind us of the value that seeking God at all times serves. Individuals in leadership and who have a level of influence attempt to be proactive instead of reactive. Unfortunately, believers who SHOULD have the greatest level of influence (since the Spirit of God dwells within us) are oftentimes more reactive than proactive. We often react after we sin, seeking God's forgiveness and coming to His throne with a heart of repentance, yet fail to pray for a change in heart and character in order to resist the temptation BEFORE it comes.

How do you use the wisdom that God wants to shower you with? Do you seek after it once a mistake has been made or the problem is at your doorstep? Or do you seek to change before things ever happen? Remember what's done in secret will eventually be exposed by the truth of God... what you thought you could keep hidden has and will resurface. So, seek to be proactive in changing your behavior, rather than reactive in your doing.

Daddy, challenge our thinking. Challenge our character, reveal Your awesome power in such a way that we would desire nothing else but Your wisdom, guidance, and direction for our lives.

    Rules of Engagement

    II Timothy 2:5
"And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules."'

Are you playing by the rules? Each game has its own set of rule, this game called life especially. But the game and its rules are different for the followers of Christ. If we play by the world's rules, the rules that have been twisted, like playing board games without the box top. You kinda know what you're supposed to do, but not really... That's how the world plays. You kinda know that you shouldn't fudge your time sheet, but that's how "we play around here". You know you shouldn't drink to the point of intoxication, but that's the game we play all the time, in this society that glamorizes sin. But, Paul says to Timothy, that no one earns a crown, reaps the reward, earn the prize... deepens their relationship with Christ, receives their heavenly rewards, etc... unless they play by the rules.

Are you playing by the rules? The rules are "Love the Lord your God, with your all your heart, with all your soul, and all your mind." Jesus said this is the first and the greatest commandment. The second rule is about relationships (Matt. 22: 39).

Are you playing by the rules? Don't focus on losing weight this new year, or changing your economic position. Focus on playing by the rules. You'll find if you play by the rules, God will take care of everything else.

All things come to an end...

In May of 2007 I began my graduate school journey... and as I sit in my class with only 3 weeks remaining in this fall semester, I marvel at how fast the time went by. After December 10, 2008 I will only have 12 credits remaining, which equates to 3 courses... By January of 2009 my life could be in a completely different place. Just the thought of what my future holds allows me to marvel at the greatness of the Father.

Daddy, I appreciate your very essence... You constantly make a way for me, opening doors, exposing truths, and reminding me of your brilliance. Thank you for loving me MORE than I could ever love you in return.

    Post from Facebook...

    I long for you,
    wanting you,
    desiring to feel your
    touch. To pull you
    close to me,
    hearing you
    whisper sweetly,
    how much you love me
    while you stare at me
    passionately.
    But, as much as
    I long for you
    I run from you.
    I see you coming
    and turn my back,
    leaving behind the
    love I so desire,
    only to desire you
    in the deepest part of
    me still.

    But, Daddy, it's hard
    to love You as
    intensely as I desire,
    because at times the
    need for physical comfort
    surpasses everything
    else. Your presence is
    soo much more, but the
hug of a friend, the touch
of a parent can cloud me thoughts
    of Your tenderness, Your majesty,
    and love.

    The longing to
    be near you,
    the thought of You,
    fills my heart
    with sadness, but
    my soul becomes
    overjoyed.
For You seek me even though I run,
You call even when I ignore,
    You love despite my mistakes.
    I am because you are!
    I long because YOU love.
Being one with the ONE who created me.
